TV Guide Cheers & Jeers - Lester Lannigan, Wow Wee's Dreamy Dad!

CHEERS 'N' JEERS

Cheers for Lester Lannigan, primetime's hottest TV dad! (Move over, Bill Cosby!) Lester plays Larry Truman, creator of Andie the Android and head of the Truman clan on IRTV's smash hit Wow Wee! Adventures of a Little Girl Robot. A bit of a "goof" himself, the former soap star describes his TV alter ego as, surprisingly, "a bit of a simpleton for someone who’s designed such a remarkable robot!" Truman may be a "dork" and a "nerd", but he and wife Betty (Tammy Sue Dixon) are sure to bring laughter and warmth (AND RATINGS!) to primetime!

Lannigan as the wickedly popular Father Pierce Jabbington on Blessed Are the Sacred

Fans may be surprised to learn that Lannigan comes from a family with a rich history in SHOW BUSINESS. Lester’s great-great-grandfather, Levi Lautenberg, performed in vaudeville acts near the start of the 20th century, and Lester’s father, Lenny Lautenberg, was a dance and synchronized swimming coach who acted in the local dinner theater. Lester’s mother, Lana, was an amateur opera singer and seamstress.

The ACTING BUG bit Lannigan early! Lester’s first role was as a sweet pea at a county fair when just a few months old, which he got when the baby originally cast went missing. Lannigan admits he took a long break from acting until he was 17, when the lead in his high school’s play died in a tragic wheat harvesting accident. Lester promptly left his home town of Enid, Oklahoma, to pursue a career in SHOW BUSINESS. After a few gigs as an impersonator in Reno, Nevada, he found his way into Hollywood television studios as a production assistant and grip, finally getting a lucky break when he made an accidental walk-on onto a live taping of the short-lived BBC crossover The Barrister’s a Bear! (1972)

Lester became a grocery store check-out line NAME after co-starring in some of the 70s and 80s most beloved and briefest running shows such as, Cromwell’s Indians, Rudy and the Martians, and Blessed are the Sacred. HOLLYWOOD is abuzz wondering if this TV Dad can fill out a COLORFUL PATTERNED SWEATER as well as the Cosby Competition. As Bill would say, "Wow Wee! I'll drink to that!"

TV Guide Cheers & Jeers - Marci Ahh Sue Flay Joins the Cast of Wow Wee! Adventures of a Little Girl Robot!

CHEERS 'N' JEERS

Cheers to the cast of IRTV's primetime hit, Wow Wee! Adventures of a Little Girl Robot for casting America's newest sweetheart, little Marci Ahh Sue Flay (age 11). Critics are calling this pint-size treasure a SENSATION! NOT TO BE MISSED!

Miss Flay plays Christy Truman, the Truman Family's REAL, flesh and blood daughter! Sometimes a robot sister is her dream come true.  Other times, she thinks mom and dad copped out on giving her a real baby sister! She sometimes does her homework, still has Barbies that she doesn't admit she has... and wonders if she is going to be the last girl in her class to get her period. She wants to be Madonna when she grows up but has hidden her "Like a Virgin" Cassette tape after a really awkward reaction from her dad.

Will Marci Ahh Sue Flay as Christy Truman upstage veteran child actor, Bonnie Winters? Wow wee! We can't wait to find out!

Miss Flay makes her network debut on Wow Wee! She hails from Austin, Texas, where at a young age, she expressed an interest in Beauty Pageants. Her mother encouraged this activity and she won all titles in the 3 month old division soon after. You may have seen her on ads for Puddin Pops, Cabbage Patch Kids (the limited eidition Marci Ahh Doll FLEW off of the shelves!) or My Little Pony.  She LOVES working, and would like to thank her amazing, fantastic, caring, devoted mom, who also serves as her agent, manager, coach, stylist, chauffeur and publicist.  Her mother also volunteers her time as the vice-president of SLAVE (Subcommitee Leaders Advocating Vetoing Emancipation) alongside Fanny Briskett (estranged mother of Bonnie Winters). Mrs Flay and Mrs. Briskett also serve together as judges on the Littlest Miss Pageant Circuit.

IRTE 2015: Say "hello" to Bill Berg!

It's a brand new year, bringing with it a brand new season of IRTE shows! We're proud to announce that one familiar face will officially be joining us! Say "hello" to our newest 2015 Ensemble Member, Bill Berg!

One of our all time favorite GIRTEs (Guest of IRTE), you might remember Bill as the 70s lothario Lupine Lou in last season's vIRTE Go-Go! or as Ken in The League of Extraordinary Blondes. We sat down with Bill for a chat.

So, Bill, tell us... What do you love most about IRTE?

What I love most about being a part of IRTE is that we all get together and come up with a bunch of different show ideas and then we vote on the ones we like best. Then we get to do them! That and the scotch at "the end" of our meetings and rehearsals. I love scotch!

Well, we know how to keep our IRTEs happy. Speaking of whom, what do you think of the cast this year?

I consider myself lucky to get to play and create and perform with such a talented, generous, and kooky group of people.

Kooky?

Kooky.

Okay, I'll admit we can be a bit "kooky." Assuming you haven't had too much scotch, any memorable moments from last season?

Blondes. All I can remember is blondes.

Figures.

Besides all those blondes, who are some of your favorite IRTE characters?

Only a narcissist would say that one of his favorite characters was one of his own.

Do go on...

Bill's always been a groovy dude... With Marcia Sofley in vIRTE Go-Go!
I am a narcissist. I LOVE Lupine Lou! Such fun. That guy in the wheelchair always makes me laugh, too. Bonnie Winters, of course.

Of course. :)

And who doesn't love a run-over bunny with a buzzard eating it's head? Am I right?!

(Laughs) Absolutely!

...and he can type, too, even without a typewriter! With Jamie Maloney in The League of Extraordinary Blondes
What are you most looking forward to this season?
The opportunity to meet James Carville. Rumor has it he'll be making a special appearance for our 'Late Night News' show. Shhh...don't tell Mary - we didn't invite her. Oh, and...'Calamity!'

Calamity! was your original idea, and I hear you're going to direct!  How exciting!!

Thanks, Bill, we're so happy to have you join the ranks!

Come see Bill and all the IRTEs in...
